A terrifying thriller for young adult fans of The Martian and paranormal space adventure that will be devoured in one heart-pounding sitting. It's been decades since anyone set foot on the moon. Now three ordinary teenagers, the winners of NASA's unprecedented, worldwide lottery, are about to become the first young people in space--and change their lives forever. It's the opportunity of a lifetime, but little do the teenagers know that something sinister is waiting for them on the desolate surface of the moon. And in the black vacuum of space...no one is coming to save them. In this chilling adventure set in the most brutal landscape known to man, highly acclaimed Norwegian novelist Johan Harstad creates a vivid and frightening world of possibilities we can only hope never come true.
It was alright. It’s not originally in english (it’s a rough translation from norwegian) so the writing is choppy and a little odd. I really like the premise of the book and it was a very interesting idea, but it wasn’t executed as well as i had hoped. I would have rated this book two stars if it hadn’t been for the two plot twists at the end, the ending made it for me :)) Overall, a 3 or a 3.5 at best, worth a read if you want a quick sci-fi standalone
The Martian + a dash of horror

I didn't know quite what to expect when I picked this book up and honestly I'm glad I didn't. It was not at all what I expected, it was more horror/suspense then I thought and it was really enjoyable. There were a few plot points I didn't love but it was a nice read to just breeze through and enjoy the tension/story, I couldn't put it down.

Not the best read before bed

I will admit, I was a bit freaked at times. One night I had to put the book down and just go to sleep, hoping the image would not invade my dreams. The first half of the book is the pre-moon, but that does not mean it is boring. The second half is on the moon and it really starts moving then!
