For the Earth to move to the next vibration, says Richard Grossinger, consciousness must change in profound ways, and these involve core elements of humanity: evil, grief, bliss, and compassion. 2013... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Firefly's review of Richard Grossinger's 2013 shows the perils of wanting something other than the author aims to deliver. 2013 is not a linear, expository study of 2102's implications. Rather, it tracks a contemporary consciousness making its way through life on many levels--cultural, biological, spiritual, personal--at this time of emergency and overload. He comes out of a poetry tradition which is at home with discontinuous narrative and which enjoys the play of the mind for its own sake. I would suggest to Firefly that he look through the other end of the telescope in judging this book. He might then get more out of it.

Richard Grossinger has humbly offered us another tour de force. For those familiar with his writings, it will come as no surprise that he can tackle a topic like the 2012 predictions with breadth of vision, thoughtfulness and heart. As is his wont, he elevates the discourse far beyond the usual hype and hysteria and gives us all of glimpse of who we are and what we could be. The result is a book full of gems - itself a pearl of great worth. Fittingly, the pearl is the only gem made by a living organism out of its own pain. Likewise, Dr. Grossinger offers a distillation of his own painful road to understanding, and hands to us a milky, luminous sphere of reflection where we can see ourselves and universe glowing, growing and evolving. And as the title 2013 suggests, there is indeed hope for us all.
