Valuable as a supplement, nearly useless as a primary source
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This book contains 3000 solved problems in precalculus, providing a wealth of supplemental work that you can do. The problems cover what has traditionally been the full year of precalculus mathematics, starting with basic algebra and covering relations and functions, systems of equations, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, complex numbers, mathematical induction and sequences and series. The primary weakness of the book is the terse style of the presentation of most of the problems as well as the solutions. With little explanation of either the problem or the solution, this book is only suitable as a supplement for people who have been exposed to the material. Restricted to that use, this book can be extremely helpful; otherwise it is of limited value.
