Moms are great at so many things! Mom is the one you go to if you need a knee patched or an elbow bandaged, if you want to hear the best story or eat the best cookies. Telling time is her forte, and surely her resume includes titles like Party Planner, Doctor, Pitcher, Catcher, and Chauffeur. But what is Mom the greatest at? Being a friend. Once again, Harriet Ziefert and Rebecca Doughty team up to give us a simple, quirky, and sincere look at how children view the world, this time singing the praises of mothers everywhere. Illustrated by Rebecca Doughty.
I got this book after a co-worker suggested it as inspiration for an adorable Mother's Day project for my First Grade students. The book outlines 31 of those great things that make moms invaluable. Kids can easily relate to the simple language and colorful illustrations. After reading the book, I had the kids think of their own "Things That Make My Mom Wonderful" and put them into a keepsake gift book to bring home to mom. I got lots of great compliments from mom's on this one! Very cute book.
A Great Gift for Mother's Day

I'm a grown woman and I bought this book for my mother as one of her gifts for a day that celebrates her and what she has done for her children. This book truly does remind us what kind of a woman she is and her impact on how she affects us. She is a truly wonderful woman who deserves to have a day of celebration. My mother thanked me for it and in return, I thank her for always being there.
