It was actually 62 and a half years that the USAF had a cryptologiic presence on Misawa Air Base, Japan. The narrative covers the hill from the very beginning until the day that the last Hill Airman left Misawa. It is supplemented by over 100 photos to explain the evolution of the units that helped keep the peace and ensured America's freedom during the Cold War and it aftermath. Also included are facts and events about various other units on the base and events that helped shape the lives of those assigned. For those who worked on The Hill, I hope to evoke some wonderful memories. A list of Unit Awards and Unit Commanders with a Do You Remember chapter and a link to more photos on the author's website complete the work.
