An historical Novel that gives a feeling of being a part of a large family with 16 children on the frontier with the early movement of population from Massachusets to New York and to Ohio in the early 1800s. The authors have done a wonderful job of weaving many individual's personalities into events without their becoming confusing. The research is impressive with most of the activities being taken from the actual family member's journals as well as newspapers of the day. Although it may not be completely typical due to a religious theme, it certainly held my interest thru good times and bad. I look forward to reading the next volume to see how these lives and events progress as soon as the next one is published.
