Great Baby shower gift

My Daughter gave this 'A is for Altar B is for Bible' ABC book as a baby shower gift and the new MOM was so thrilled with it. In fact, many others at the shower asked about it. It is such a delight to find the perfect gift! I hope it is released in a board book version soon... otherwise we will have to buy one to cut up and laminate for baby!

I bought this for our Godson's 2nd birthday and love it so much I think I'll get another copy for our own little girl. The thing that always bugs me about buying kids books on the internet is that I can't read them in full and know whether they fully agree with my beliefs. This is an excellent book for young children, especially those familiar with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. The soft, luminous pictures illustrating each letter of the alphabet are inspiring and will encourage a prayerful response in young, and even older children who may already know their ABC's. I highly recommend it.

This book provides and excellent start to the ABCs...especially for children who attend Montessori-based Catechism of the Good Shepherd (CGS) Atrium programs. My kids recognize many of the symbols and materials from their Atrium programs.

This is my new favorite ABC book!The book is published by Catechesis of the Good Shepherd publications and it names things commonly found in a Montessori Atrium. My children love the familiar reerences to the "work" they find at CGS. There is an image and a brief prayer drawn from scripture or liturgy. Every child will enjoy this book, but for a child who knows the Good Shepherd in the Atrium, it's a really special treat!
