Claude felt his call to the ministry in his early teens. After dropping out of high school to help his dad run their farm, he completed his schooling and enlisted in the navy during World War II. He served in Japan until the war ended then came home and married the love of his life, Evalyn. They attended college and started their family then felt the tug of the Lord to return to Japan as missionaries. They spent 18 years overseas and completed their mission work in the States until he retired in his 70's, over 50 years in ministry. Claude & Evalyn have 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
