He's a down-on-his-luck janitor with aspirations of writing the great American trash novel. She's the spoiled, sharp-tongued boss's daughter, always looking for a creative way to spice up her boring life. Normally, these two would never meet, but a higher power has different plans for both of them. The major motion picture from 20th Century Fox starring Ewan McGregor, Cameron Diaz and Holly Hunter hits the box office in October.
If you liked the movie, you owe it to yourself to read the novelization. You learn considerably more about all the characters, and the writing style is quite amusing. If you're wondering what Celine was thinking when Robert stormed into her father's office, or even how Robert got past security, your questions will be answered here. A very pleasant read for an idle afternoon.
Very entertaining - better than the movie

I read this during a long airplane flight to Japan. It's much better than the movie. More background is given & the characters are better developed here. It's a nice little book - nothing too deep here, but a delight to read nevertheless.
The Best Movie Novelization Ever

This book is almost better than the film. It's written by the screenwriter, so the characters are fully developed and there are lots of scenes deleted from the film. Much better than the average novelization and a fun read, even if you haven't seen the film. Very quirky.
