The Caldecott Medalist has created twenty-six small worlds of dogs and daisies, surf and sun. Reillustrated in full color, this is a celebration of everyday things. "A charming challenge for children...a gossamer to give."--New York Times Book Review.
As always, Trina Hyman's intricately detailed illustrations are delightful; Each page of this small book features a letter, illuminated with children in a tiny world of objects that correspond with the letter being illustrated. My three year old friend and I enjoyed an afternoon of "picture hide- & -seek" with the illustrations. It's a fun book for teaching letter-recognition and for keeping the children involved - they can tell YOU about the story in the picture! Plus the tiny format is just the right size for a little child's hands, although perhaps not large enough for more than one child to look at at once.
