The head nurse in the ICU where my daughter had to spend 2 months because of premature birth gave me a copy of this book. It was a "loaner" from their library. It was the only thing that got me through the nightmare of my problems. Its compelling story and its information was what I needed in a world that had taken my baby away from me and didn't have time to explain why. It's a must for every parent who finds himself suddenly awash in the ocean an early arrival baby.
Helpful information in compelling format!

I found this book in a used book store when my daughter was born prematurely. I don't know what I would have done without it. It provided compassionate, helpful information on concerns my husband and I had. I especially liked the "story" of the Pfisters' daughter and the question/answer format of the other chapters. Some of the information was a bit outdated now, but it was the best book of all that I found, and I searched EVERYTHING. A revised version would be nice, with an update of this miracle baby's life!
