14 viewpoints, one love story. Sandy Hall's debut novel is an irresistibly sweet romance between two college students told from multiple perspectives. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is a little aloof, Gabe is shy, and it looks like they are never going to work things out. But something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The barista at the local Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV series. The bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes Lea and Gabe were meant to be together. You'll be rooting for Gabe and Lea too, in Sandy Hall's quirky, completely original novel A Little Something Different, chosen by readers like you for Macmillan's young adult imprint Swoon Reads. Praise for A Little Something Different : "Recommend for those looking for a quick, sweet romance ." -- VOYA " A fun, light romance that will appeal to male and female readers alike." -- School Library Journal " Romance with a twist. When I bought this book, I was excited because I thought it was a creative idea. When I got it though, it bored me. It was a very overplayed meet cute and the actual story was quite boring. I liked the idea of different perspectives but the characters seemed a bit bland and somewhat unrealistic. Overall, it was fine but nothing I would recommend.

If you are looking for a fun and quirky love story that is filled with a cast of characters that are as hilarious as they are relatable, look no further! I first read A Little Something Different a couple years ago now, but I come back to it time and time again (which is saying something because I rarely reread books). The story is cheeky, honest, and full of touching moments. 10/10 would recommend.
