A Meeting in the Air

One of my favorite literary subjects is reading the testimonies of fellow Christian believers. The inspiration and wisdom that I gain from them and the insights that help me to be a better Christian myself are priceless and always worth my time and attention. Dennis A. Beaudry's "A Meeting In The Air" is perhaps one of the best testimonies I have ever read and the characters that he has created are so relatable and refreshing. The story tells of the budding relationship between David Post and Trish Ivey. Both have experienced recent troubles in their separate lives and later come to depend on one another for both spiritual strength and support. As the story continues, it becomes obvious that a higher power is at work and as they continue to grow in faith, the trials they face together are later counted as blessings. Mr. Beaudry sets the tone with a wonderful introduction that immediately captures the reader. He writes: "After becoming a born-again believer in Jesus Christ I was nothing more than a spiritual baby. I lived a day-to-day existence; powerless to do much more than attend services, pray halfheartedly, and meander fruitlessly through the Bible. That is, until a lunch-time encounter with a previously nondescript acquaintance from my past." From there you are hooked. "A Meeting In The Air" is ultimately a story that reinforces the power of living according to God's Will and not our own. From the compelling cover, to the final chapter, Mr. Beaudry's book is an engaging and thought provoking statement that uses both relevant scripture and a tremendous array of descriptive writing that leaves you feeling spiritually validated. I highly recommend "A Meeting In The Air" to both practicing Christians and agnostics. For the believer, it will open your heart. For the non-believer, it will open your mind.

Dennis A. Beaudry is a masterful storyteller, creating honest and intriguing characters and a smooth flowing story that kept me turning pages. Love and friendship, faith and trials, David Post and Trish Ivey step from the pages of the story and into the reader's heart. Beaudry tells it like it is; no cookie-cutter Christians here, but real folks dealing with real life one day at a time, just like us. The author calls "A Meeting in the Air" a story of unselfish love, and that's just what it is; and who couldn't use a little more of that?
