This book is my autobiography. At the outset it was never intended for publication, but for my grandchildren and their children. It charts my early, formative years, mainly spent in Libya and Hong Kong, and then my time with the De La Salle Brothers, followed by the Special Air Service. It continues with my service as an officer in the Sultan of Oman's Armed Forces during the Dhofar War, and my subsequent activities among the mountain peoples of Oman.
Cleared for publication by the Ministry of Defence.
