This unique day-by-day movie guide offers much more than terrific video rental suggestions. It follows a full year of movie-viewing milestones, tied-in to world events, national holidays, celebrity... This description may be from another edition of this product.
With this book, you have history and movies combined in one. Of course, some of the history points are rather stetching the concept. For instance, the entry for Jan 2, the date that marks the anniversary of the 55mph speed limit, the author recommends "Speed". But Uhler fills the book with lots of interesting tidbits, and leaves virtually no stone left unturned. There is even a section at the end for those rotating days like Mother's, Father's and Grandparent's Day. You'll be more than a year checking out all the great flicks he mentions (some get more than one).
Movie reviews -- with a fun twist

Got to see a copy of "A Movie A Day" and thought the whole premise was an excellent idea! It's easy (and good!) reading, and I could skip around at will not just for the reviews but to learn a little about days of the year. The price made it a very affordable Christmas gift for the film fans on my list (there are many), and every one of them raved about what a cool book it is.
