An excellent book! This was the first book I have read by Betty Brooks and have gone on to read Texas Treasure which is also an excellent read. Definitely worth picking up! I hope to see much more from this author!!

Rafe Sutherland didn't want to love the mysterious woman he'd pulled from the flood, yet his lonely heart would not be denied. By the time he realized how deep his feelings were it was already too late. But it seemed their love was doomed when a man from Jessie's past appeared to claim her. Before they could leave town though, the mystery was solved, resulting in a shootout that left Rafe critically wounded. Great book!
