It was a very popular and an interesting read in its own right when the book was first published in 1994. However, Edna's family decided it would be a good idea to put the two books together in an omnibus version, for the benefit of readers who may have forgotten, never read or maybe lost their original copy.'A Place Of Our Own' The story continues to unfold and of course, has all the ups and downs of normal family life, although the focus this time concentrates on Richard and Edna 'taking the big plunge' with the ambitious project of starting a boarding kennels at Skew Hill, Grenoside.They started the business with nothing and as you can probably guess not everything went to plan, but at least what they did have, is a home and a place they could finally call their own.
