I purchased this book for my sister who loves Horses and has since she was little. The book is filled with fabulous pictures that keep you smiling and warm your heart. Recommended for anyone!

Is there anyone who hasn't asked for a pony for Christmas? Some actually got them and had their pictures taken with their prize ponies. The photographs in this book will remind you why you wanted a pony so badly. They are so adorable and just the right size for a child. Many children had their photographs taken with photographers patient pony's and the author has collected an amazing collection of them. These "snapshots in time" are precious. You've just GOT to love this book! As evidenced by these truly, exceptional photographs, "A Pony in the Picture" has been assembled with a keen eye for nuance and an affectionate yet historical sensibility, I can't imagine a child or adult who wouldn't cherish this wonderful collection of rare, vintage pictures, featuring kids and ponies. This is a very clever and compelling subject for a photography book. Taking a common experience many children have, that is sitting on or riding a pony, this collection of photographs of those moments is tremendous fun, and beautifully done.
