Jenny, a young girl who has escaped the killers of her parents, is adopted by Harold and Suzie who take her in with open arms. Soon after, a 'John Doe' is found wandering the streets and is admitted to hospital. His words are later heard by a hospital worker, Sarah, who quickly figures out that this man can tell the future. However, all is not what it seems, and as many other people start descending upon their home town of Hope, stranger things begin to happen. Set at a time in the future after World War III this book tells the story of hope returning to a world that has lost hope. Many people become drawn to the town and their lives become entangled in what seems to be a greater plan from above.
