I have never read a book outside of the Bible that has impacted my thinking so much! The issue of sin, and how God reveals that he deals with it, is essential to every believer. This book is not a systematic theology, but emphasizes a doctrine which is absolutely crucial to having a biblical, coherent system of Christian thought. As Taylor suggests in this book, hamartiology is a core doctrine from which other doctrines stem. It certainly affects the way we live and think. This book is the definitive resource for understanding and communicating the Arminian viewpoint. Although it is scholarly, it is not beyond the reach of the average Bible student.I could not recommend it more highly.
