Elaine Rohr received her B.A. from Baylor University and her M.A. from California State University, Los Angeles in speech and language pathology. She is currently retired from 39 years of practice in pediatric speech pathology. For the past 15 years, she has been a master synchronized swimmer. She is the mother of three adult children and five grandchildren. She resides in Azusa, California with her husband. This book is the story of her life from childhood through her recovery from mental illness as a result of the 1987 earthquake in Los Angeles. Although she considers her life a shattered glass, glued together, strong but fragile, she attributes her recovery to her faith in God and seeking proper treatment from mental health professionals.
