Pastor Terry Janzen has served the Body of Christ as a pastor for some forty years, in various capacities; across those years he has developed the characteristics of a genuine pastor - who, like a shepherd in the field, quietly and tenderly leads his flock to health, rest, and safety.
He wrote this book during the world-wide pandemic, as a way of staying a little more connected to his flock. The perspectives shared in it speak largely of growing faith and trust in the Lord; of listening and hearing the voice of God; of grace and responsiveness of heart, all filtered through a lifetime of lessons in pursuing the heart of God.
Written in a conversational style, with lots of room carved out for thoughtful interaction, it is a veteran pastor's musings while meandering through the book of Psalms, on the one true calling over his lifetime: to ultimately point others to The Great Shepherd, Jesus.
