After scouring booktok for psychological short stories, this was at the top of my list....

As a goal for the new year, I decided to start reading multiple books a month. I recognized that the main reason I failed at this in the past was due to the daunting task of reading a book with over 300 pages. After scouring booktok for psychological short stories, this was at the top of my list. The demon that introduces you to the story is a nutty character. The atmosphere is palpable. The main character is very easy to root for. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be revisiting it. Its under 200 pages and will leave you staring at the wall for a bit trying to digest it all.

The hell is based on “The Library of Babel” by Borges and expands on the themes from that short story.
The read is easy. But I’ll be thinking of this story forever.
