A Stolen Kiss: Volume 7

I simply loved this story as it has such a different look inside an Amish romance. Two people who don’t feel like they measure up share a kiss that leads to a forced marriage but God is in control and good things can happen when we let go and look for the blessings in a situation we may not be happy about. I was cheering for LeEtta and Benuel from the beginning and I was impressed with his aunt when she came to visit. Oneida had lots of sound advice for the couple and is it possible she could find love along the way. Great characterization and written in such great style that you want to devour it in one sitting. This story has everything you could want all tied up in a pretty package from the lovely cover to the recipes included at the end. I highly recommend even if you aren’t a fan of Amish Fiction. 4 stars, Gains and Losses A STOLEN KISS (HEART OF THE AMISH BOOK 7) by Mindy Steele Benuel "Ben" Ropp has love and trust issues. He feels like he has been deceived or hurt by all of the relationships with people in his life, family or friends, they have all betrayed him. LeEtta Miller, 22 wants to get married and start her own family, but she is in no hurry. Since her mamm died, it has only been her and her daed. She is lacking in some of the womanly arts of the home, since she did not get that instruction as she grew up, from her mamm. Jonas Hostetler, 15 has an unreasonable crush on LeEtta. Adding him into the mix of the budding friendship of Ben and LeEtta leads to some unimaginable circumstances. I like how LeEtta and Ben trust in the Lord to see them through rough patches. It seemed like Ben was a little immature with his relationships. Quotable Quotes: ...those two had a habit of stirring up hornets' nests. There are people like that in real life. ...book enthusiast. I thought everyone was. ...Prayer...losing what held us hostage. A lovely way to think of prayer. I liked LeEtta, Ben, his aenti Oneida, and Ruby. I really didn't care for Jonas. The rest of the Hostetler's large family seemed okay. I have read several of the books in The Heart of the Amish book series. I'd highly recommend any of them. They are written by different authors and each book is a stand-alone, which I like. You can read them in any particular order.
