Regarding the book "A SURVIVAL KIT FOR THE SUBSTITUTE & NEW TEACHER" by Jennifer Gaither.After reading this book,although I am not a teacher,I immediately reflected on helping my children with their homework and saw the value such a book would have been to me.I was so excited about the variety of strategies to help both in school as well as at home that I purchased five (5) books for my children to work with my grandchildren.Thank you Mrs. Gaither for being such a wonderful teacher.

It is obvious that Mrs Gaither knows her subject and loves children. Her book is easy to read and makes a quick reference tool. The activities are motivational and Mrs Gaither outlines all the tools needed for each activity. This book is a great "hip pocket" quide for all educators.

Mrs. Gaither's book is a "must have" for substitute and new teachers. She has provided the template for inexperienced educators to cope with most stressful situations. Her ideas for enlivening and inspiring children are on the mark. I only wish I had this book three years ago. Highly recommended reading.
