Vampires have isolated themselves in their cities ever since the Species War, but they still rule from the shadows. In this world, Kairos, a young man with a new undergraduate degree in Human Culture and no experience with vampires, finds himself at a loss for work. When a friend suggests looking for work with a vampire, he quickly finds a mysterious job listing that promises to fill all of his requirements.
