I haven't finished the book, but I knew him personally from a very young child through college age. A terrific man, a storyteller whom could keep you captivated for hours with the folklore of the Haitians or whatever he was speaking about. His trademark smoking pipe was all part of both his normal attire and his storybook telling attire. I enjoyed listening to many adventures of his over the years, in my home.
