Golden Insight

Written with 9-14 year olds in mind, this biography covers some themes which seem more suited to the older end of the age-range. Adorinam Judson, known as America's first overseas missionary, was a missionary in Burma whose work included translating the Bible into Burmese and producng a Burmese dictionary and grammar book. In this engaging biographical sketch you will learn about his initial rebellion to his parents and to God and about the tragic event that brought this prodigal back to his parents and into relationship with Christ. Not only do you learn about Adoniram's great faith, but also you learn of the great faith of his devoted wives. As you will discover in this book, Adoniram was a widower twice yet each helpmeet God brought into his life was just as devoted to God and the mission work in Burma. You will learn of the many triumphs and moments of deep sadness. Discover how he and his family, through faith, endured Adorinam Judson's long and painful imprisonment. As with other Trailblazer books, this one includes a timeline and brief commentary for further thought and reflection for each chapter at the back of the book.
