Because the author is my brother the book has a more personal meaning, but growing up in Kansas City during that period brings it home. Some of the stories are new to me, some I've heard over drinks and around the dinner table, and a few I experienced in person (and a few didn't make the book, for reasons you would understand), but they're all fascinating and a great reminder of the names and faces I grew up watching on local television. This is the inside view of what most of us only saw on the screen. Sometimes sad, usually light-hearted, never mean, and always entertaining. Give it a try.
