The book arrived promptly an in flawless condition. I bought the book on the recommendatiuon of a rabbi friend. It is a very interesting book about a very interesting man. I have not read the book completely, but I am glad I have it I am sure it will be valuable in an Interfaith Relations context.

If we study nature closely, we notice that everything starts from a seed. For example, an obscure Turkish town was home to a man who has affected millions of lives. As a child, Gulen dreamed of a new golden age by joining spirituality and scientific knowledge, and promoting moral values and dialogue. Having read the book 'The advocate of Dialogue: Fethullah Gulen', I now know that there is at least someone who does not only speak at a rhetorical level but also puts his ideas into ptactice. We understand from the book that as a Muslim faith-based movement leader he met with the Pope in Vatican, met with the Patricarch Bartholemoes and many other figures of all walks of life. His followers numbering to 4 million only in Turkey inspired by his ideas have established over 1000 educational institutions, high schools and colleges in over 50 different countries. In all these schools, students from all different religious, racial and ethnic backgrounds study in peace and harmony. The book will tell you more about Gulen's ideas on religion, Islam, politics, secularism, democracy, modernity, science and so on. He skilfully shows that these are not necessarily diametrically opposite and that a reconciliation is possibble, Gulen's movement being the remarkable example.

Fethullah Gulen is an islamic scholar and he stresses the fact that members of all religions should be tolerant to eachother. I think in today's world, this is an important mission, and this book is an important source for knowing about this mission of Fethullah Gulen in a more extensive way.
