a "gold standard" for drug information

I have relied on the annually updated AHFS Drug Information book for over a decade. It is helpful not just for hospital pharmacists, but for physicians such as myself in practice in the community.Where else can one readily find instructions for use of old-fashioned agents (such as gentian violet) listed alphabetically alongside the newest therapies in an "antifungals" chapter? Or a table comparing the potencies of corticosteroids?Like all medical references, it is thicker and heavier each year. Unlike some "free" resources provided for physician reference, it is free of commercial bias and is exhaustive in detail.
