In preparing this edition, the authors reviewed FAR parts 65 and 147 and appropriate Advisor Circulars, as well as related Federal Aviation Regulations. In addition information dealing with expanding and emerging maintenance-related technologies has been incorporated into this volume to provide a comprehensive source for students, technicians and instructors.
I work today as a maintenance manager, and this book was imprescindible to me when I was still a rookie in aviation. Doesn't intend to go deep into maths or physics, but does a terrific job in giving the newbie a clue about how aircraft systems work and maintenance is performed. Actually, the whole Glencoe Aviation series is very good. I recommend the books on Avionics and Turbine Powerplants as well.
