My children loved all of the Road to Reading books that we got. All Better was my daughter's favorite from Mile 1, while Hot Dog was my son's. They're easy for beginners to read, and they're fun. They're good enough that I enjoyed reading them over and over. My children also liked the idea of progress - working up from Mile 1 to Mile 2, eventually all the way to Mile 5. It's a shame that these books are so hard to get now. They should republish the entire Road to Reading and Road to Writing series.

My daughter loved this book. We laughed from beginning to end. We read this book at least five times a day. She even slept with it. This book really got my four year old excited about learning to read. It is fun!
