#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - In the propulsive debut novel from the host of the #1 true crime podcast Crime Junkie, a journalist uncovers her hometown's dark secrets when she becomes obsessed with the unsolved murder of her childhood neighbor--and the disappearance of another girl twenty years later. You can't ever know for sure what happens behind closed doors. Everyone from Wakarusa, Indiana, remembers the infamous case of January Jacobs, who was discovered in a ditch hours after her family awoke to find her gone. Margot Davies was six at the time, the same age as January--and they were next-door neighbors. In the twenty years since, Margot has grown up, moved away, and become a big-city journalist. But she's always been haunted by the feeling that it could've been her. And the worst part is, January's killer has never been brought to justice. When Margot returns home to help care for her uncle after he is diagnosed with early-onset dementia, she feels like she's walked into a time capsule. Wakarusa is exactly how she remembers--genial, stifled, secretive. Then news breaks about five-year-old Natalie Clark from the next town over, who's gone missing under circumstances eerily similar to January's. With all the old feelings rushing back, Margot vows to find Natalie and to solve January's murder once and for all. But the police, Natalie's family, the townspeople--they all seem to be hiding something. And the deeper Margot digs into Natalie's disappearance, the more resistance she encounters, and the colder January's case feels. Could January's killer still be out there? Is it the same person who took Natalie? And what will it cost to finally discover what truly happened that night twenty years ago? Twisty, chilling, and intense, All Good People Here is a searing tale that asks: What are your neighbors capable of when they think no one is watching?
I was really looking forward to reading this book. The author Ashley Flowers being a true crime pod-caster, I thought this book would be awesome. Wrong! I found it to be very boring to about chapter 10 and then it picked up and I was struggling to put the book down. Then it seemed to be wrapping up very fast for such a long and detailed beginning. Then I read the Epilogue and it made me hate the whole book!!!!! I'm beyond disappointed.
So what happened to Margot?!

At first I was hanging on every word, and flipping the pages as I read furiously through all the twists and turns, but to just end it. I thought someone had removed a page. So did Billy kill Margot or what? I threw the book in the trash. I don't want someone else to have all the unanswered questions I have.
Best in a long while

This is probably the best book I've read in a long time. So many twists and turns and the ending was completely unexpected. Can't wait for more Ashley Flowers novels!
Not what I intended.

Part my fault, but I didn't realize I purchased the Concise Synopsis.
Not what I wanted or can use.
And expensive for what it was.
Many Twists and Turns

This is a masterpiece in plot twisting and how what we assume when we see things can have a completely different meaning. It is a great first novel and I am sure there will be more to look forward to from this enthusiastic author. I was a bit shocked at the closeness to the JonBenet Ramsey case and somehow it felt disrespectful to their family. Imagine you are the Ramsey family reading this. It seems the author could have come up something more imaginative as a base plot while still acheiving her goal. The choice to use a case so heart wrenching as her stepping stone to success was in poor taste. Just my opinion.

I don’t write reviews ever but I needed to for this book. Love listening to Ashley’s podcasts and I love reading so I bought the book. So many twists and turns that I won’t be sleeping for a long while.

Listen, any fan of her podcast knows Ashley is talented. This book is just more evidence of that. I rarely find books I read within a few days. This was one of them. This book lived up to its hype and if you love mysteries or crime shows, this is going to be right up your alley!
Absolute shocker

As I read the book I knew that she was getting close to solving the mystery!!! I was ecstatic that she got to the bottom of the kidnappings but I DID NOT expect the dynamic ending! I'm hoping for a sequel! I have to know what happened!!! LOL!!!
Wont be able to put it down

Crazy ending, as much as I knew what would happen, I was also not ready for it. Honestly had a couple parts where my tummy turned, and also some relieving parts.
By far one of those books where you can read again and still be ready for the next chapter. I hope Ashley Flowers does more books.
Book was a gift for my birthday in September, but just now read it last week.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for more from Ashley Flowers

At first the premise and characters seemed a little “been there, read that” but the little nuggets of plot development kept me hooked and the end has me reeling and wanting more. Overall, the story and twists were entertaining and what I wanted from a crime novel but I found the characters lacked dimension that made it difficult for me to really get invested and resonate with the protagonists. Some of the interactions between characters seemed so close developing something but ultimately missing the mark. For a debut novel, I was satisfied and would definitely give Ashley Flowers another read in her future novels.
