I read this book once at a friend's house over 10 years ago and it has stuck with me all this time. The story starts off with two children who wake up one morning and their mother has left, they assume to go to the store. The two kids go ice skating on the nearby lake and when they return home, they found their house inhabited with two ghost children being tormented by their abusive aunt. The two original kids decide they must need to help the ghost kids so they can find peace. I won't spoil it but it has a fantastic twist at the end and is a haunting tale. The ending may remind you of a hit movie but the book came first. With all the copies on sale for a penny, you can't ask for a better deal!

This book is so cool and it has a very suprizing ending. If you want a book that keeps you guessing the whole time and you love mysteries, you should really read this book. I love it so much and plan on reading it again and again.
