"Both Gillian] Flynn's and Miranda's main characters also reclaim the right of female characters to be more than victim or femme fatale... All the Missing Girls is set to become one of the best books of 2016." --Los Angeles Review of Books

"Extremely interesting...a novel that will probably be called Hitchcockian." --The New York Times Book Review

"Are you paying attention? You'll need to be; this thriller will test your brain with its reverse chronological structure, and it's a page-turner to boot." --Elle

Like the spellbinding psychological suspense in The Girl on the Train and Luckiest Girl Alive, Megan Miranda's novel is a nail-biting, breathtaking story about the disappearances of two young women--a decade apart--told in reverse.

It's been ten years since Nicolette Farrell left her rural hometown after her best friend, Corinne, disappeared from Cooley Ridge without a trace. Back again to tie up loose ends and care for her ailing father, Nic is soon plunged into a shocking drama that reawakens Corinne's case and breaks open old wounds long since stitched.

The decade-old investigation focused on Nic, her brother Daniel, boyfriend Tyler, and Corinne's boyfriend Jackson. Since then, only Nic has left Cooley Ridge. Daniel and his wife, Laura, are expecting a baby; Jackson works at the town bar; and Tyler is dating Annaleise Carter, Nic's younger neighbor and the group's alibi the night Corinne disappeared. Then, within days of Nic's return, Annaleise goes missing.

Told backwards--Day 15 to Day 1--from the time Annaleise goes missing, Nic works to unravel the truth about her younger neighbor's disappearance, revealing shocking truths about her friends, her family, and what really happened to Corinne that night ten years ago.

Like nothing you've ever read before, All the Missing Girls delivers in all the right ways. With twists and turns that lead down dark alleys and dead ends, you may think you're walking a familiar path, but then Megan Miranda turns it all upside down and inside out and leaves us wondering just how far we would be willing to go to protect those we love.

Not worth buying

This was very poorly written, going round and round and never getting anywhere. What a waste of time and money

Didn’t grab me

I thought I was going to love this book but it definitely didn’t “thrill”.

Page Turner

This was such a thrilling novel and keep me at the edge of my seat. Told backwards, it leaves you guessing the entire read. I thought I had it figured out but it got me good at the end. Highly recommend.

I did not like this book.

I have read other books by this author that I enjoyed and had high hopes. However, this book was confusing and boring. It was a waste of time.

I Loved It! What A Spin!

Everyone seems to not like this very much but I really liked it. I loved the story being told backwards. It added a different element to the story telling. It had me hooked the entire time!

Not my favorite of hers

I wouldn’t say this one is the best in my opinion but I would say it’s worth the read. I like Miranda’s stuff altogether.

Meh

Main character is whiney and weak. So much could have been solved/avoided had she been an adult about things. Took me a long time to read, wanted to stop multiple times but ended up finishing just to know the ending.

3.5/5

This book is a very easy read. I liked that the writing style wasn’t too complex. Told somewhat in reverse, it is initially interesting until the last third of the book where it becomes muddled. The characters themselves are not my favorite. Our protagonist is just vaguely relatable and just not that likable. That said overall it is easy to finish. It won’t be staying in my personal library though.

The Story is Told Backward

Very seldom that I can't finish a book, but this was one. VERY slow and as stated above, the story is told backwards. That sounds interesting but is just confusing. No idea how it ended (or began?) since I lost interest and decided it wasn't worth finishing.

Would I read it again? Probably not. Would I recommend it? Ehh probably not.

It's a quick read, but I had trouble getting through the book because I found it dull. Don't get me wrong, there are events that are action packed, but afterwards it slows down. The plot of the story was really interesting in itself, however I wasn't interested in the any of characters.

Read it in a few hours!

I just could not put this book down! It was such a good read! I found it unique that the story was told backwards and I really enjoyed it! I deffinatly recommend reading this book!

Suspenseful!

It seemed like it was trying a little too hard but it was a suspenseful read and I kept looking forward to picking the book back up and getting to the ending, which is what matters to me. I found myself thinking about the story a couple days later which is a good thing.

Absorbed this book in one sitting

Read it, then went back and re-read the days in order. It kept my attention both directions and I recommended it to distant friends and shared my copy with local friends. Great read!

Great read!

I love when books have a huge turn in events and you had no idea what was coming. This book was one of those and I highly recommend the read!
