When Gracie MacDougal returns to Seagull Point, Virginia, seeking to reform her workaholic ways, she discovers more than relaxation. The picturesque town calls to her, as does the waterfront Victorian house she envisions as the perfect bed-and-breakfast. But one person stands between Gracie and her new goal...and he isn't budging. Southern charmer Kevin Daniels isn't interested in selling Gracie's dream house, but he's definitely interested in something else...her. Enticing the uptight businesswoman into letting down her hair becomes his new mission in life, but beyond that? He already has way too many people depending on him, and has no intention of adding one more. Gracie's not looking for a home. Kevin's not looking for a wife. But sometimes even the best intentions can wind up going wonderfully awry.
Seagull Point reminds me of a small, rural town along the Potomac River in Virginia, one I visit frequently. More importantly, the character development and story line are super. This is a story for now--young, professional men and women seeking alternatives and purpose beyond their ongoing professional pursuits. It's a fast read that is captivating.
I may read it again!

The story is delightful. The author's characterizations, fast paced style and underplayed sexual encounters capture the essence of desire, without belaboring the point.Fun stuff.
What an Amazing fun book!

Sherryl Woods has given us a cast of characters that are a delight to know in a setting where we would love to spend time. You can feel the tension mount when Gracie, a woman on the move, finds her new "hometown" plans in jeopardy by the laid back Kevin. Trouble brewing? You bet! And its going to take a help of help from Gracie's former employer Max (is he really helping?) and Kevin's aunt Delia to sort out the tangles and bring peace, calm and romance to Sea Gull point.
A down home mixture of romance and humor .
