I received this book as an ARC with no expectations of a positive review. This book brings human trafficking to the forefront. Summer was torn away from her Amish family by trusting a Ray whom she met. She left her family at 18, now being 26 years old. Summer had aged out and pregnant with Ray's child, but he would not allow her to leave. This is a story of survival when she finally sneaks away from Ray. He is determined she will not get away. Axiel and Camo (his dog) find her on the road. Join their journey as they work to stay alive .

Mary Alford has done it again! This book is the amazing story of a young pregnant women's Escape from human traffickers and the former soldier who, along with his retired military K9, tries to help and protect her.
There are so many twists and turns, you don't know where the constant danger will come from next. The story is written so realistically, you feel as if you are there in the middle of the fight for survival. You cannot help but empathize with the main characters as you learn their stories.
If you like edge-of-your-seat/can't-put-it-down stories, this book is for you! I received an advance copy and the opinions expressed are all mine.
