Amefurashi by Atsushi Suzumi, is a pretty good manga. Many of the 'goddess' variety do not have a depth of characterization, nor a depth of legend esablished. Volume one gives a good explanation of the basic story behind the story. In this case, Sora, a spoiled rain goddess, and Ciel, just wants the power to control the Nimbus tree (and rain). Ginny, looking for his siblings, find that Sora has taken them in exchange for rain. His efforts to exchange the dolls he has made for two live dolls is admirable and enjoyable.
