Ready-to-Read Level 3 Reading Proficiently Rich vocabulary More-challenging stories Longer chapters Amelia Earhart always loved adventure, and she did not let anything prevent her from following her dreams. Read all about how many firsts she accomplished in her life -- from her amazing airplane flights to her groundbreaking approach to life
This is an interesting and informative book on Amelia's life from childhood through her disapperance. That said, I bought this for my first grader and it was a little too advanced for her.
Amelia Earhart

I bought this to use in my 6th grade reading classroom. It is excellent to use to teach reading skills such as main idea, author's purpose, or summarizing. I put it in a center and students have 10 minutes to use the book for an assignment. Since it is at a lower reading level, students have success in building skills to use in higher level texts. This book is a good addition to the grade 1-6 classroom library.
Great info for school projects

My daughter in 3rd grade had to choose an American hero and she chose Amelia Earhart for her project. This book was so wonderful for her. It is the perfect reading level for her as it describes as level 3. Also it has a great map of all of Amelia Earhart's flights as well as her life from birth to when she went missing. I think the material in the book is extremely helpful and I highly recommend it.
