When God has your ear...

Max Lucado, like few humans before him, has the amazing ability to write as though God himself were sitting in the room, dictating the book to him. He has opened himself up to the voice of heaven, and truly hears what needs to be said and what will touch his readers hearts. This book is an incredible example of this gift. Though He tells the story of Christ's birth, one we hear every Christmas, this time it is told through the eyes of the angels. Each chapter is more moving then the last. Causing tears and shouts of joy, as the angels bring God's gift to earth, fight the armies of hell and sing over the newborn King. I recommend this book to adults and children alike. It will touch you in ways you maybe haven't been touched in awile and will remind you of what God did to bring you to himself. I am most certain it will remind you of how much He truly loves you.

The book is an easy read . . . you can't put it down. Max Lucado, once again, has pierced the heart of this Christian with a simple story told in a new way.

This book is amazingly beautiful. The story, although short (took me 2x 1/2 hour sessions to read) was refreshing and really put me into the Christmas Spirit. The descriptions of the Angels and their mission was wonderful.

This story is an amazing one, the Christmas story from a completely different focus. Max Lucado is kind and wise, and it shows in this telling. To the person who said that the book tries to convert people, and that's it's religious... Yes. It's the story of the birth of Christ and the love of God. So, it does certainly have a religious focus - a Christian focus. That's the point.

I recieved this book as a Christmas gift 2 or three years ago. I read it to my daughter all the time. It is a wonderfull version of the Christmas Story through the eyes of the angel Gabriel. Absolutly perfect for young teens, though it may be a bit advanced for very young readers. (You can always read it to them!) Beautiful illustrations, wonderfully written. You don't have to save it until Christmas either, it's a perfect book to read anytime. Not very long, only takes about 10 minutes or so to read. Just fantastic, I can't say enough!
