A sequel to the humorous "1066 And All That", by two prominent pre-war contributors to "Punch". Here they turn their wayward pens to geography, knitting, ornithology and other aspects of knowledge. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This sort-of-a-sequel to "1066 And All That" is more of the same, and since the first book was a brilliant assault on all things serious, you get more puns, absurdities and satiric riffs on academe and its stupidities. Not limited to history this time, the boys go after child-rearing, food... well, everything. It's all very silly, and gloriously so. In short: If this is the kind of thing you like, you'll like this.
And Now All This

Anyone blessed with a sense of the absurd, a love of words and/or a disdain for pomposity stands a good chance of enjoying this gloriously silly book. All the more so if you enjoyed '1066 And All That' by the same authors - especially if, like me, you were frustrated by your lack of background in English history; no such information is required here. It does help if you spent 12 years of schooling staring constructively into space, though.
