Numidia, 62 A.D. Furio Voreno, veteran centurion, leads a caravan of carriages that are transporting wild animals and imprisoned people to fight at the coliseums in Imperial Rome. Among the captives is a young woman named Varea. She is proud and wild like a feline, she can communicate with animals and Voreno watches her with fascination.
