beautiful book

this book has a beautiful story and beautiful illustrations. on each page, this little kitty goes to great lengths to reveal what is hidden under a paper pull out flap: the message "i love you". although the plot of the story is that the gray kitten shows he will do anything for his friend, the friend character is understated so that the "i love you" message seems directed at the reader. thus, this book would make a nice gift to show someone you love them, whether it is a child or an adult. the book's main downfall (at least at the store where i found this book) is that some of the plush kittens attached to the book were crushed. (they might be able to be reshaped, but I didn't try.)
