From a small lake nestled in a secluded forest far from the edge of town something strange emerged one day: Three young girls. The three girls, Shem, Ham and Japheth, are sisters from another world. Equipped with their magical powers, they are charged with saving all the creatures of Earth from becoming extinct. But there is someone or something sinister trying to stop them... While saving our world from destruction, these sisters live like normal human girls: They go to school, work at a flower shop, hang around with friends and even fall in love.
Ark Angels is another example of why Korean Mangas (Manhwa) are some of the best on the market today. A beautifully drawn, extremely funny shojo. In an a deal to save the human race from being destroyed by beings from another dimension three girls from the other dimension are instructed to go to earth. Their mission is to save at least one animal from each species and place them in a "Noah's Ark" within a time limit. Taking cover as high school students the three cope with school life whilst trying to save the animals. For those who have already read the excellent Pet Shop of Horrors series, you will be pleased to know that animals are also shown in a "human" form in this series as well. In this volume the girls go after a timid fruit bat who has a tendency to break out in song, his senile mother, and a beautiful but vain crane. Featuring laugh out loud moments, bishonen guys, a sub-romantic plot, cross dressing, and beautiful detailed drawings by Sang-Sun Park, this series deserves to be on every manga fan's shelf.
Ark Angels~

Ark Angels is a lovely installment from Sang-Sun Park. Since Saint Marie, I believe, (another great series you should buy) has been cancelled, *sob* I've been eager for another manwha. This one fits the description perfectly, as it's also slightly spiritual in tone. Three sisters, Shem, Hamu, and Japheth are charged to put some of Earth's endangered species in Noah's Ark, and then when humankind learns to respect them they will return all the animals. This series is great because: 1) Fabulous art - I love the way she portrays the animal's souls. 2) Awesome storyline. 3) JAPHETH IS SO KAWAII! She is the absolutely most cutest (not correct grammar, I know) character in manwha I've seen so far...I just love her so much! Her facial expressions are to die for! I highly recommend this series. Pick up a copy and enjoy!
