Cannot recommend Arms & Armor enough for young kids (preferably over 8 and under 13) who are interested in the subject of the early development of weaponry and warfare. Well illustrated with outstanding photographs, it's the closest thing to taking your kid to a museum. Again, this is a book for kids and does not go into any real depth on anything, but it's better than something that would soon cause any kid to lose interest...

The boys in my class will go ga-ga over this book about weapons and their use over history and cultural groups. They already love the Eyewitness series and are constantly begging me to buy more. The Arms and Armour book is one of those requests.

I love this book so much that I decided to skip writing & English one day and do a report about it instead. There are so many different weapons. Don't look at that one star rating because he doesn't know what "arms" means. He thought it meant arms like a limb.
