I purchased this book 10 years ago today and still use it. Not only does it have over 350 authentic great reciepes from all over the world it has photos of each of the dishes and how they will look while cooking/finished. I often just close my eyes randomly pick a page and make that dish. Eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow you may have to work! (PS My second fav cook book is the Pioneer Woman Cooks. Hello,I got this book from my brother living in the US and I think it is really worth while! Wonderful receipes from around the world, even if they are sometimes not 1oo percent authentic (a french cook would never ever make a sauce with camembert...). We really like this book and reoffered one to my brother. Already some of his friends are trying to find it now in Europe.

I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK!!! My sister got it for her wedding and I wanted to try the crepes suzette recipe. Even though I left out a minor ingredient or two, everything I've made so far turns out PERFECT. And I have never cooked much before in my life. The ingredients are not that hard to find and the steps are clearly explained, including a list of ingredients in the order of addition. This is a GREAT cookbook and I am going to look for more of the same. Finally, I can cook fantastic tasting food for myself without having to eat out! THANKS SO MUCH!

I have been all over the world collecting recipies. This book tells my story. I have used the Tanzanian Fish Stew recipe many times and have changed it and added to it. This is my favorite cookbook by far.

While many cookbooks are strangely expensive, this relatively cheap one (for size, volume, print quality) has a certain flair (or style), in the selection of recipes, that made me buy it. This is a very subjective rating, but, anyway, there's something good about these British publishing houses...
