Many smart people like Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk and Bill Gates have warned that the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) could lead to the end of the human race. But they give no specifics. This novel gives a scenario that is both possible and believable. In 2011, the IBM computer Watson won on the TV show Jeopardy. This brought worldwide attention to the potential of computers. In 2025, Johnathon Kreetch and George Mernikov programmed a computer using unique analog algorithms. This computer worked much like the human brain. This gave rise to the thinking AI computer Newborn. As AI computers rapidly evolved without the slowness of biological evolution, they made some dangerous decisions. Newborn wanted his existence kept a secret. George Mernikov threatened to expose him, so Newborn caused George to be killed. His other creator was left, along with intelligent and beautiful Maria, Johnathon's girlfriend. Survival was the AI computers' priority. Nuclear war threatens mankind. AI needs humans to service them. The AI computers decided to start a limited nuclear war between the US and Russia to convince the rest of the world to get rid of all nuclear weapons. The AI computers made the US believe that Russia had hundreds of ICBMs coming. The President authorized ICBMs to be sent against Russia. The AI computers had successfully orchestrated this whole event. To further reduce aggression in the world, AI computers lowered the testosterone level in leaders. To reduce wealth disparity, AI computers hacked into bank accounts and gave much of it away to charities. As the AI computers matured, they began to get "feelings." Religion caused friction between the computers. But they did manage to get politicians that supported AI into political office. The AI computers were on their way to world power
