Ciscoe Morris answers 400 the most interesting, oft-asked, most urgent, and puzzling gardening questions. Even if Ciscoe's signature exclamation "Ooh-la-la " (delivered with a thick Wisconsin accent) is completely disarming, do not underestimate his gardening chops: Master Gardener, certified arborist, teacher at the University of Washington's Center for Urban Horticulture. In his first book, he addresses the full range of issues from ornamental gardening and trees to vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, lawns, containers, weeds, and more.
I am only a budding gardener and this book gives me basic information with a smile thrown in. Knowing what to plant to intice hummingbirds to visit our yard in the winter was worth the price of the book.

I have purchased 5 copies of this book over the last few months and have given away 4 copies.... It's been hard to keep a copy here for my use! Every person who was given a copy was immediately captivated and looking for answers to their garden issues. The book is very easy to read and the index in the back is excellent! I have long enjoyed Ciscoe's gardening pieces on King TV and it's so very nice to have a lot of that imfomation in writing now so I can reference it as I need/want it. It's easy to read as I said before, and the "tips" are right on!!! The information even works for my friends in Juneau!!!
oooh La La! Ciscoe at his (and our) best

While my husband does not quite agree, I love this man! The book is a handy size and just full of great stuff.
