For the second time, Vasili Shoumanov demonstrates his training in St Petersburg by applying his diligence for accuracy in an Arcadia book about Chicago's Assyrians. The production is very good, the pictures multi-sourced and credited, and the story told in sensible chronological order. Although many of the images picture Assyrians with origins in northwest Iran, around the Urmia/Salamas area, the introduction neglects to mention Iran. I would have liked to have the birth and death dates of some of the important people added. Altogether this project is a credit to the grant giver, the Illinois Humanity Council, and Assyrians in Chicago who backed this project.
